Assemble & Stain The Frame
I actually didn't know how this frame would turn out, and so I apologize for non taking many photos as I fabricated information technology. #bloggerfail
The first pace is to cut the one×2 lath downward to size. I made this frame using 2 10" boards and two 5" boards. A miter saw would make cutting the board super easy, only I don't own ane so I made do with my jigsaw.
Once you've cut the pieces, sand them polish and rub on a coat of your favorite forest stain.
Later on the stain dries, clamp the pieces into a frame and nail together. I used my brad nailer, but you could as well hammer in a couple small nails if y'all don't own one.
Attach Hooks
Screw in two hooks along the top board (encounter flick). I placed my hooks 2.5" away from the inside edges. I used hooks like these.
Cutting & Paint Backing
I used a thin slice of project board from Michaels for the bankroll since that'due south what I had around the house. Any kind of thin board will piece of work. Cut it to fit the backside of the frame, then sand it smooth and pigment black.
Attach Backing
Boom the backing onto the wooden frame. I used my brad nailer for this.
Add together Photos!
Did you lot know many photo places volition actually impress foursquare photos for you these days? I had no idea! A lot of photo labs (both online and in stores) take started offering a foursquare format which is perfect for press all of your Instagram photos. The Fujifilm app made it easy to order these photos from our local Sam's Gild direct from my telephone.
Once you've curated and printed a agglomeration of photos, punch a pigsty in the acme center so you can hang them on the hooks of your Instagram picture show frame.
Divide your photos into two stacks and hang from the hooks! This DIY photograph gift is perfect to display on your desk at piece of work or home. I dearest the idea that yous can rotate through the photos every day and go on adding new photos to the collection.
I don't know about yous, but I'thousand always wishing I printed more than photos off of my telephone. This Instagram movie frame is the perfect excuse to print all of those aboveboard photos of your kids or selfies from your vacation.
I gave this to David a couple months ago and have made it a signal to print a few new photos here and there for him to add to the collection. It'south a great way for him to display some family photos on his desk-bound at work.
